What I learned from Laura Roeder’s Facebook Fame party

Laura Roeder hosted her Facebook Fame  launch party on September 14th complete with surprise guests, dramatic book readings, kindle giveaways, i pad 2 giveaways and a gong. Here is what I learned:

First of all, the event was hosted on Vokle. Vokle allows you to host a live video event with multiple video participants, twitter integration and chat room.  These features allow viewers to ask live video and chat questions for a fully interactive experience.  If you’re looking to market your business through an online event, I definitely recommend checking out Vokle.

Thanks to Laura’s surprise guest, Derek Sivers, for introducing me to TED.com, Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world. I was just educated and entertained by Derek’s three minute How to start a movement talk on TED.
